ABSTRACT
India Domino’s is India’s market leader having the highest pizza market outside the United States with nearly 72% market share and is working towards doubling the market size by creating pizza as a meal-time replacement. This case study ascertains how Domino's pizza, people's favourite pizza brand in the United States adapted to the Indian market and captured it's evolving customer base. This study considers various factors that have helped Domino’s achieve their position in the Indian market. The intriguing feedback process that Domino’s conducts with the young customers, the product development process carried out with it’s team before introducing a new product in the market is studied. In a country where data charges are reliable and smartphones are accessible to a wide range of people, the influence of introduction of newer version of the consumer-friendly mobile application in online food ordering and it's ability in addressing long-standing issues is discussed in detail to determine how the mobile application was successful in achieving increased sales and customer satisfaction. This case study also examines the role of marketing in introducing and developing localised product ranges and customised Indian flavours with innovative additions to suit the evolving tastes of its consumers residing in every part of the country. Quick and reliable superfast delivery, digital advertisements and marketing campaigns used to communicate value for money offerings and safety measures undertaken to capture wide range of audience is also studied.

Role of Technology in Marketing:
Although only a nascent innovation in the history of man, technology has already come to play an integral part in the way we live life today. The paper discusses the concepts of technology that have changed the perspective of marketing and gauges the changes that we may see in the subsequent future or have seen in the past. Marketing techniques and technology have greatly influenced the profile of the modern generation. There is an emergence of new marketing strategies that need to be employed by the current marketers to be relevant in the industry. The interdependency between marketing and technology brings forth a new class of marketing known as digital marketing. Technologies that empower digital marketing are primarily electronic media like mobile phones, computers, smart televisions and other such devices. These technologies have also shifted the mode of communication between individuals, businesses or associations. The internet is the backbone of these technologies and this has played a vital role in the innovation and modernization of business operations. Determining marketing strategies by considering market, consumer behaviour and sales has been massively impacted by technology. A variety of tasks can be performed by implementing modern technological solutions, some of which include customer acquisition, customer engagement, constructing brand reputation and image, management and supervision of criticism and studying other competitive strategies. Modern technologies are revolutionizing the marketing world and they are changing the market, giving opportunities to new players. Hence companies should be constantly on their toes to devise new strategies to be in parallel with the competition. These technologies can be valuable in providing opportunities for contemporary marketers and prove a bit challenging for orthodox marketers. In short it can be said that technology has impacted marketing strategies and has potential to develop in the future.
Advancement in technologies has influenced the consumer mind in a way that couldn't have been perceived in the past. One of the main influencers has to be the internet. A world without the internet is practically inconceivable at this point of stage. Use of the internet has seen a spike in the last decade. Every task is being automated and many consumers now prefer to buy a product or a service over the internet, preferably at home. Insecurities with online shopping have diminished over the period of time and Consumers are prone to buy online. Therefore, digital marketing plays a key role in promotion and advertising. This begs the question how one can capitalize on these developments and revise their marketing ideas and strategies. Our aim in this article is to gauge this shift in consumer behavior after the introduction of technologies in the marketing field. And also find out how the companies can adapt to accommodate for the evolving technologies and reform their marketing strategies to stay relevant in the industry. To support our hypothesis, we carried out a survey to assess the consumer behavior towards technology adoption in marketing strategies currently followed by companies. This survey also tries to gauge the impact of marketing on a consumer and how the consumer reacts to the recent trend of changes in marketing. The statistics from our survey shed light on the potential for marketers to make use of the available opportunities such as electronic media and the internet and also formulate the different strategies that a company can employ to cope up with the fast-paced industry. This paper also highlights the inadequate marketing strategies that the companies can avoid.
