About TEQIP-III

TEQIP III is one of the prestigious project of BMSCE sponsored by The Ministry of Human Resource Development. Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) was envisaged in 2003 as a long-term programme implemented in 3 phases for systemic transformation of the Technical Education System with a goal to scale-up the quality of Technical Education and enhance existing capacities of the institutions to become dynamic, demand-driven, quality conscious, efficient and forward looking, responsive to rapid economic and technological developments occurring at the National and International levels. It has a clear focus on the objective of improving the overall quality of Engineering Education.

Vision

To bring out a nationwide movement through participating institutes that mets the changing dynamics of the populations requirement with regards to quality education, innovation and research and to make India a knowledge superpower.

Mission

The mission of the project is to foster ecosystem of creativity, ingenuity and industrious attitude in young minds. To ensure the technical graduates are industry ready with knowledge, skills and global competence.

Objectives

The Project will focus on the following objectives:

  • Improving quality and equity in engineering institutions in focus states.
  • System-level initiatives to strengthen sector governance and performance which include widening the scope of Affiliating Technical Universities (ATUs) to improve their policy, academic and management practices towards affiliated institutions, and
  • Twinning Arrangements to Build Capacity and Improve Performance of institutions and ATUs participating in focus states.
