Research Interests: Bio-Inorganic Chemistry, Metal based PSs for PDT, DNA Interaction, Photocytotoxicity, Chalcones, Transition Metal oxide Nanoparticles, Photocatalytic, Antimicrobial, Electrochemical and Sensor Studies.

About

I obtained my M.Sc., degree in 2009 from Kuvempu University with university 9th Rank. I have successfully handled BRNS Major Research Project (worked as both JRF and SRF) from 2010 to 2014 and received my Ph.D from Kuvempu University in the year 2015 under the guidance of Dr. H.S Bhojya Naik and Dr. K. Indira Priyadarshini (Principal Collaborator, BARC, Mumbai, INDIA). I am having 10 years of teaching experience in various Engineering colleges and effectively teaching Engineering/ Applied chemistry for First year B.E. Students. Presently, I am a BOE member in Chemistry at SJBIT, RNSIT and RRCE. As a Research Supervisor under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka, currently, I am guiding three research students for their Ph.D degree. My research interests include Development of metal based Photosensitizers, Chalcones and Transition metal oxide nanoparticles, their synthesis, characterization, spectral analysis, biological evaluation, photocatalytic, electrochemical and sensor studies. I have published many papers in highly reputed internationally renowned Web of Science indexed journals with a good impact factor, and presented/attended many papers in National and International conferences. Furthermore, I worked as a Youth Red Cross (YRC) coordinator, Universal Human Values (UHV) cell coordinator and NSS member and took part in conducting many events such as Voluntary Blood Donation Camp, Plantation camp, Vana Mahotsava, Yoga Day, Road Safety drive, Health, COVID-19 awareness and UHV introductory programmes etc.,
