Research Interests: My primary research interest lies in solid-state chemistry and physics. My work involves the preparation and characterization of various inorganic oxide and organic materials, driven by both academic curiosity and technological necessity. Utilizing solid-state and chemical synthesis routes, I employ a range of experimental techniques, including x-ray, neutron, and electron diffraction for structural characterization, as well as measurements of magnetic, electrical transport, photoluminescence, and ferroelectrics for physical property assessments. The aim is to design new materials that exhibit a correlation between structural, magnetic, luminescence, and electrical properties.
About
I completed my Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore, India, spanning the years 2015 to 2021. Subsequently, I transitioned into a research associate role at JNCASR. Following this, my academic journey led me to Duke University, North Carolina, USA, where I served as a postdoctoral associate from 2022 to 2023. Since joining BMS College of Engineering, my focus has been on overseeing the Engineering Chemistry course for the Ist year B.E. programme.
