About

I obtained my M.Sc., in 2003 from Bangalore University with Chemistry specialization. I received Ph.D from Bangalore University in the year 2010. I have worked as a Dr. D.S. Kothari Post-doctoral fellow under the guidance of Dr. S. Sampath of IPC department, IISc. After joining BMS college I have been involved in handling Chemistry courses for the Ist year B.E. programme, Materials chemistry and applications course for 3rd sem chemical engineering students and Nanoscience and technology course for I year students. My research interests include development, characterization and application of nanoparticles of metals, oxides and sulfides for electrocatalysis and photocatalysis. I have published 26 papers in national and international journals, presented many papers in conferences. Our group has one Indian patent filed on electrochemical sensing of nitrite. Presently I am guiding three Ph.D students registered under VTU. I have received SMYSR (VGST-GoK) and DST-SERB-ECR grants. I am one of the project execution team member in DST-FIST grants awarded in 2023 for a period of five years
