About

Dr. J. Sharana Basavaraja, Ph.D in Machine design from IIT Roorkee is Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, B. M. S College of Engineering, Banglaore. He has 25 years of teaching experience. His area of research is Tribology, Smart fluids, Hybrid journal bearings. He has published 10 papers in the International refereed journals and presented 40 papers in the international conferences. He is actively involved in teaching of PG course in Machine Design. He has guided around 30 M. Tech. Project work. Currently guiding five students for Ph.D thseis. Actively involved in the college Alumni activities as the secretary of the BMSCE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION. Worked as the programme coordinator NBA activity of PG Machine Design Program. Currently serving as Associate Placement Officer of Training and Placement Department, B.M.S. College of Engineering.
