About

Dr.Shashiraj received his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree at Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bengaluru from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka and Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Machine Design at B.M.S College of Engineering, Bengaluru from the same university. He is a Gold Medalist in his master’s degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University. After a career in Industry for more than two years in Essential Engineering Solutions and GE-Healthcare as Design Engineer, he served as Assistant Professor in various institutions. In November 2025, he earned his PhD in structural dynamics of auxetic-based sandwich beams under non-uniform temperature conditions from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal (N.I.T.K.). He has published eleven international and one national level publications in the area of structural dynamics, stress analysis, composite materials and Yakshagana. He has developed an online course content for Dassault systemes on Finite Element Analysis of Composite Material Parts using 3D Experience.

Other Information

• Won the VTU GOLD MEDAL for having secured 1st Rank in M.Tech-Machine Design in the year 2008.

• Received an award by Dassault Systèmes for developing online course on Finite Element Analysis of Composite Material Parts using 3D Experience under Peer Learning Experience Program (PLEXP).

• As a part of skill development for engineering graduates, a value added course on Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS is offered every year, for the students of Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering and Civil Engineering.
