About

Dr. G. Saravanakumar has about 20 years of teaching and 13 years of research experience, currently he is working as Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at B. M. S. College of Engineering, Bengaluru, India.
He has obtained BE in Mechanical Engineering from Bharathidasan University and ME in Industrial Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University. He has completed PhD in Rotordynamics from VTU in 2018.
He is holding a granted patent on Bump Foil squeeze Film Damper and a published patent on Flexible Housing Apparatus.
He is having an on-going research project on Air-Foil Thrust Bearing and has executed a couple of research projects funded by external funding agencies.
He has published 12 journal papers in peer reviewed international journals, & good number of papers in proceedings of international conferences.
His research interests are mainly on Magnetorheological fluids, Smart materials, Vibrations & Rotor dynamics and micro fluids.
