Research Interests: I am interested in studying the fundamental physical properties of single- and double-layered 3D and 2D perovskite materials containing magnetic and non-magnetic elements as substituents. Also, interested with their electrical and dielectric properties, giving possible correlation with magnetism in the presence of external magnetic and electric field, applied pressure, applied frequency, etc.

About

I am Dr. Punith Kumar V., M.Sc., PhD (Experimental Condensed Matter Physics) from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum (INDIA). My Ph.D. research was fully supported by the Department of Atomic Energy- Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences, Government of India [JRF (2 years) and SRF (3 years)], Maharaja Research Foundation, Mysore [SRF (2 years)], IISC, Bangalore [DST startup grant, Government of INDIA (Project Research Fellow (1 year))]. My PhD research was on manganite materials and their constituents containing non magnetic materials at the B site and studying their physical properties (magnetic, electrical, including dielectric and impedance spectroscopic analysis, critical/scaling analysis with strong theoretical understandings), which have proven technological applications. Majority of my research work have been carried out in collaboration with eminent scientists and scholars such as Dr. David C Jiles, Fellow of Royal Society, UK (currently Professor at Iowa state university and Ames laboratory, USA), Dr. Ravi Hadimani (Formerly at Iowa State University, Now Professor at Virginia commonwealth University, USA), Dr. Nikolai Sergeevich Perov (Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia) (Thesis Evaluator), Prof Hao Fu, (USTC, China), Dr. Alok Banerjee (Scientist, UGC DAE CSR Indore), Dr. Rajeev Rawat (Scientist, UGC DAE CSR, Indore) (Thesis Evaluator and PhD Viva Voce External Examiner), Dr. Dipankar Das (Scientist, UGC DAE CSR, Kolkata), Dr. T. K. Nath (IIT Kharagpur) and many more, who have extended their experimental facilities/support and references continuously throughout the years of my academic growth.
