About

Dr. Selva Kumar S earned his B.E. in Information Science and Engineering and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Karnataka, India, in 2005 and 2008, respectively. He later completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the same university.

He began his academic career in 2009 as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BMS College of Engineering. He was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2011, Associate Professor in 2022, and Professor in 2025. In the same year, he was also entrusted with administrative responsibilities as Associate Head of the department.

Dr. Selva Kumar brings four years of industry experience, having worked as a Developer and Application Support Analyst at Global Pvt. Ltd., Shams HealthCare Software Pvt. Ltd. (TSG, USA), and Honeywell Technologies. He has authored or co-authored 14 journal articles and 12 international conference papers, and he holds two patents.
