2.2023Proctor: Namratha M Student: SRISHTI DOREPALLY USN: 1BM19CS160 Activity Name: Contribution to any national level initiative of Government of India- Swachh Bharat Sri Radha Krishna-Chandra Temple is one of the largest Krishna Hindu temples in the world, affiliated with ISKCON Revival Movement. It is located at Rajajinagar, in North Bangalore in the Indian State of Karnataka. They had organized an event to spread awareness about the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. I went as a volunteer through the Fine Arts Club of BMSCE. Our activity was to make a model of Raavana made of plastic, which conveyed the message that plastic is the villain when it comes to our environment. It was a two-day activity. The first day went in giving shape to the models and the second day in adding colours and detailing. During my time there, I learnt quite a lot about how the temple runs, about how Akshaya Patra, a meal service by ISKCON, served food on a daily basis to 18,00,907 children in 52 kitchens across 12 States & 2 Union Territory of India.
3.2023Proctor: Namratha M Student: SRISHTI DOREPALLY Activity: Helping local schools to achieve good result and enhance their enrolment in higher/technical/vocational education I, along with a team of Fine Arts Club members from BMSCE, went to Kodichikkanahalli Government School on 14th February 2021. Our job there was to paint the classrooms and make them attractive for students to get interest in the subjects and learn better. Each classroom had a subject as a theme. I was assigned the Science Classroom. Along with other volunteers, we decided how to paint the classroom. Our idea was that if the children can see people to take inspiration from, they would have the curiosity to learn more taking them as an example. Hence, we painted a cartoon version of five great scientists of all time- Thomas Alva Edison, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking and Galileo Galilei. This was a huge wall and took most of our time. We also painted a brick wall in the back of the classroom. We made a simple illustration of a chemical reaction taking place. One wall was dedicated to space, one was dedicated to biology. We worked really hard for this. By the end, the school looked very new and different. Each wall of each classroom had something to learn from. We were really glad we could be a part of this project. We learnt a lot about how the school runs, the need for a good environment and good teachers to provide a good education, the lack of good schools in our country. Our hope is that no child, ever, has to choose to do work instead of going to school, for whatever reason. Education isn’t a privilege, it is a necessity. We hope our activity attracted more students to join the school and get the opportunity to learn and change their lives. Download

Student: Rohit Kudache, 1BM18CS083 Description: RDC (REPUBLIC DAY CAMP) is the most glorious camp for a cadet in NCC. In fact, representing at the NATIONAL level itself gives you enough power & confidence. But it is a fact that precious things are always difficult to achieve. You must have to put your heart & soul and burn yourself towards your goal, only then the Glittering Gold will come out. The cadets are selected through a tough selection process. But as we know when the going gets tough, the tough get going. The camp portrays a reflection of “Mini India”. And the aim is to enhance the self-confidence of cadets, deepen their value systems and provide exposure to the rich culture and traditions of our nation. I passed out with Alpha grading in my ‘C’ certificate examination and most importantly I became a self-confident, outspoken, and learned person who aspires to touch the sky with glory. Download
