Patent Title: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A SHORTEST ROUTE BETWEEN ENTITIES Applicant: B.M.S. College of engineering Inventors: Dr. Rajeshwari B S, Prof. Namratha M - 2023

A system for determining a shortest route between entities is disclosed. The system includes a processing subsystem which includes an input module (40) which receives value(s) corresponding to a predefined distance between the entities and generates a distance matrix from the values. The processing subsystem also includes a linked-list generation module (50) which generates a minimum-row-linked-list from the distance matrix by picking row-related minimum value(s) from the value(s) corresponding to each of row(s) and generates a minimum-column-linked-list from the distance matrix by picking column-related minimum value(s) from the value(s) corresponding to each of the column(s). The processing subsystem also includes a comparison module (60) which compares the row-related minimum value(s) with the column-related minimum value(s) and identifies a minimum value. the processing subsystem also includes a route determination module (70) which performs a predefined operation on the minimum value based on predefined criteria, for determining the shortest route between the entities.
