About

Dr. G. Varaprasad received his B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, in 1999, his M.Tech. in CSE from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, in 2001, and his Ph.D. in CSE from Anna University, Chennai, in 2004. His doctoral research was supported by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. In 2004, he joined the Protocol Engineering Technology Lab, Department of Electrical Communication Engineering, at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, as a Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2005, he joined B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bangalore, in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, where he served in various academic roles, including Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor.

Since 2022, Dr. G. Varaprasad has been serving as Director (Accreditation) at the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. He has an impressive academic and professional track record, with 67 journal publications, 50 conference papers, 29 patents and copyrights (with 2 more under application), 4 textbooks, and 13 awards. He has successfully led 9 externally funded R&D projects and 5 consultancy projects, with a total funding of ₹1.3 crores. He is also actively involved as an expert member in several prestigious national-level committees and organizations, including AICTE, NBA, DRDO, ADA, UPSC, and DST.
