About

Dr. Nethravathi S is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru, with over 18 years of experience in teaching and research. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2005 and Master’s Degree in Power Systems Engineering in 2008 from Visvesvaraya Technological University. She completed her Doctoral degree in 2023 from National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli.
Her research interests span emerging areas such as Demand Side Management, Energy Routing, Internet of Energy, Optimization Techniques for Energy Management Systems, and Net Zero Energy Buildings. She has contributed significantly to the research community through the publication of 25 papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences.
Dr. Nethravathi S has successfully secured research and academic funding support from the Ministry of Education (formerly MHRD), Government of India for conducting GIAN workshop and NIDHI PRAYAS initiative (DST) for research project. In addition to her academic contributions, she has undertaken several consultancy projects and conducted energy audits for academic institutions and campus infrastructures.
She is an active Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and serves as the Faculty Advisor for the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Student Branch at BMSCE, actively mentoring students and promoting innovation, research, and professional development in the field of Electrical Engineering.
