About
Dr. Ch. Ram Mohan Reddy has built a progressive academic career at B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bengaluru, beginning as a Lecturer in October 2001, advancing through Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor, and serving as Professor since November 2020. Over the course of his career, he has combined teaching, research, academic administration, accreditation, curriculum development, and institutional technology leadership. He served as Head of the Department of Computer Applications for nearly three years and as Working Chairman for E-Governance initiatives from September 2018 to February 2025, contributing to campus portals, academic and administrative automation, cloud-based systems, web infrastructure, examination systems, payment integration, and accreditation readiness. He has developed curricula for more than 20 MCA subjects at VTU and contributed extensively to curriculum development in the autonomous academic framework. His experience also encompasses NBA/OBE coordination, placement coordination, university examination coordination, EMS and QPDS management, industry-connect initiatives, workshops, student mentoring, and research supervision. His sustained engagement with emerging technologies through numerous FDPs and professional development programmes in AI, Agentic AI, Generative AI, Quantum Computing, AWS, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, IoT, and related areas reflects a strong commitment to keeping academic programmes aligned with contemporary technological and industry requirements.

• Professor & HoD: Served as Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Applications at BMS College of Engineering for a tenure period of three years from February 2022 to December 2024.
• E-Governance Leadership: Served as the Working Chairman for E-Governance initiatives at the institute level from September 2018 to February 2025.
• Board Memberships: Chairperson, Board of Studies (BOS) and Board of Examinations (BOE) at BMSCE; also serving as Member of BOS and BOE across multiple academic institutions.
• Curriculum Design and Development: Developed curricula for over 20 MCA subjects at VTU since 2004 and many Courses designed while framing syllabus for the Department. (Autonomous).
• Academic Committee Involvement: Actively participated as a member of the Department Academic Committee which addresses curriculum, student affairs and research endeavours at the department level
• Phase Shift Coordination: Led the Phase Shift (Industry Connect initiative) within the department.
• EC & CC Coordination: Coordinated EC & CC activities at the departmental level.
• Exam Management: Oversaw the Examination Management System (EMS) at the institute level.
• QPDS Coordination: Managed the Question Paper Delivery System (QPDS) as an institute-level coordinator.
• Placement Coordination: As Department Placement Coordinator enabled bridging the gap between students and potential employers, resulting in increased job placements and career development.
• University Exam Coordination: Coordinated the conduct of university examinations at BMS College of Engineering and at Global Academy of Technology.
• Community Engagement: Contributed as a member of the Mahiti Sindhu Program for various secondary schools under the Government of Karnataka. Extended constant support to NSS and NCC units at BMSCE.
• Workshop Coordination: Organized and coordinated numerous workshops both at institution level and department level.
