6th National Conference on "Networking, Embedded and Wireless Systems-NEWS" - 2025

Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering is happy to announce the 6th National Conference on "Networking Embedded and Wireless Systems -NEWS-2025 during 14-15 November 2025. This flagship event is dedicated to showcase the technical acumen of participants in the rapidly evolving fields of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The NEWS 2025 will feature specialized hands-on sessions and technical workshops delivered by industry professionals to 2nd, 3rd year students of the department. The workshops are: 1.⁠ ⁠Hands on AI. 2.⁠ ⁠Introduction and applications of MatLab. 3.⁠ ⁠Exploring Microelectromechanical Systems using COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS. 4.⁠ ⁠PCB Design 5.⁠ ⁠Fundamental of Electronics Design. During the conference, we also propose to conduct a Hackathon on Embedded Systems with a knowledge session followed by announcement of a problem statement by the industry experts. The registrants are given 6 hours to solve the problem and compete for prizes that include paid internship and cash awards. (for BMS students only) A project /prototype demonstration event - "Yuktikalpa Tech Expo 2025" (open for all) with a cash prize for 4 different categories of projects.

Prof. Bhavana H.T, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engineering has been identified as faculty coordinator by Texas Instruments for the course "Embedded Design Systems" offered by NPTEL. Embedded Design Systems is a 12 week course endorsed by Government of India, AICTE. The aim of this course is to help engage and support as many students as possible to grow their expertise in the electronics hardware and software. In this connection, the maximum number of students have registered under her guidance and nominated her as the Faculty In-Charge to receive the MSP430 Lunchbox kits. She has received six MSP430 Lunchbox kits by the vendors.
