About

Dr. Shiva Prasad N, Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at BMS College of Engineering, has dedicated himself to the academic and professional development of his students. Having obtained his PhD from Visvesvaraya Technological University, he has expertise in pavement materials, including use of marginal materials for improving on pavement layer functions using stabilization techniques . As a teacher, his commitment lies in imparting knowledge that enhances students' technological skills, fosters innovative thinking, and prepares them to thrive in today’s challenging environment.

Leveraging his strong connections with industry professionals and government sectors, Dr. Shiva Prasad has created numerous opportunities for students by organizing field visits and facilitating industrial training in the form of internships. He has also delivered guest lectures to field engineers of the Karnataka Rural Roads Development Agency (KRRDA), Government of Karnataka (GoK). As part of a skill development initiative, he has contributed to training programs organized for the engineers of KRRDA, the National Rural Roads Development Agency (NRRDA), New Delhi, Government of India (GoI), in collaboration with the Government Sri Krishnarajendra Silver Jubilee Technological Institute, Bangalore.

With a collective experience spanning 14 years inclusive of industry, teaching and research domains, he has authored six journal publications indexed in Scopus, participated in several international peer-reviewed conferences and contributed for book chapters.
