About

Dr. Prathima B holds a B.E. in Environmental Engineering from SJCE, Mysore (2004). She began her professional career as an Assistant Engineer with the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA), Government of Karnataka, serving for one year before joining WS Atkins Pvt. Ltd., where she worked for 2.5 years.In 2011, she completed her M.Tech in Environmental Engineering from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore. Following this, she joined her alma mater as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering.Dr. Prathima B earned her Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore) and has published 25 research publications in reputed journals and conferences.

4. Under KSCST 39th Series Project Programme SPP Grant, Got seed money of Rs.7.000/- for the PG Project. The project is awarded as the "Best project of the year-
2016”, by KSCST.
5. Won “Best Practice Researcher Award”, at International Conference & Exhibition on Best Practices in Sustainable Water, Wastewater and Energy Management , IISC,
Bangalore for the paper “Bio Remediation of Chromium Contaminated Soil – A Novel Approach to Safeguard Ground Water”.
6. One of the team member for International Design Competition for the Rejuvenation of Badami Town Precinct, launched by Catalytic Think Tank Forum and earned a
consolation prize money of Rs .50,000/-.
