About
Dr. C. R. Ramakrishnaiah is currently a Professor in the PG (Env. Engg) programme in the Department of Civil Engineering. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in 2010. He has supervised two Ph.D. students, two M.Sc. (Engg.) by research students, and 77 M.Tech. students. He has a total of 80 papers to his credit with total citations of 2283. One of his research papers has been cited 1647 times, and another has been cited 393 times. He contributes to the scientific field by working as a peer-reviewer for several international scientific journals. He established an Advanced Environmental Engineering laboratory utilizing TEQIP-II (Govt. of India, World Bank Assisted Project) funds for PG (Env. Engg) and research programmes in 2014. He conducted a GIAN (MHRD, Govt. of India sponsored) course on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), inviting a speaker from Canada. He served as Director, B.M.S. Center of Engineering Consultancy (BMSCEC) for three years from 2019 to 2022. He has worked as an Environment Management Framework (EMF) Coordinator in TEQIP III (Govt. of India, World Bank Assisted Project) and as Chairperson of the Differently Abled Service Cell (DASC) from October 2018 to October 2025. He has also been working as the PG (Env. Engg) Coordinator since 2007, Management Representative (MR) for ISO 14001—Environmental Management System (EMS) implementation and certification since March 2023, and Chairperson for Maintenance of EMS-ISO 14001 since September 2024.
