About

Dr. S.B. Bhanu Prashanth had his basic education in and around Sompura, a small village in Koratagere Taluk of Tumkur district in Karnataka. Soon after graduation in engineering, he got into teaching profession to serve his Alma mater S.I.T, Tumkur, in the year 1991. Subsequently, he obtained his Masters and Doctoral degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Science. He was the Principal investigator for a funded project of Rs.20 Lakhs from VGST, GoK, and the research work was on “Dispersion in Optical Fiber Communication links”. Currently, he is guiding five research scholars for their doctoral programs. He has published 25 research articles in International & National Journals, and Conferences, and has also co-authored a technical book.He is a recipient of the Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam memorial Outstanding Teacher Award.
His Personal interests are in Poetry, Literature, Theater and Psychology.
