About
I have more than 25 years of professional and academic experience in Human Resource Management. I am currently working as a Professor & HOD at MBA Department of B.M.S. College of Engineering . I have been associated with this institution since October 2005. Apart from lecturing and facilitating learning, the job profile also includes co-ordination of various department-related activities. Before that, I worked as a lecturer at M.V.J. College of Engineering and C.M.R. Institute of Management Studies. Also worked as an Associate Consultant for Sampoorna Computers and as an HR Executive at S.M. International, Bangalore.
I graduated in Science from Jyoti Nivas College and did an M.B.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Management. I attended various workshops and faculty development programs from IIM (K) and other colleges and did short-term courses and training programs to continuously upgrade my skills. I have presented research papers at various conferences. My research papers were published in national and reputed international journals. I have received citations for some of these papers. I also have authored around 10 case studies, one of which has been published in HRM-OB case studies-2018. My case studies are published in reputed case journals like Ivey, Emerald Publishing, and Case Centre. Two of my cases has been listed by Harvard Publishing. I also have around 3 book chapters published by reputed publishing houses like Springer Nature ( in Palgrave Macmillan), World Scientific Publishing Company, and IGI Global. Three more book chapters have been accepted are currently under production by Elsevier, Bentham books and Springer. I was the resource person for FDPs, MDPs for MSMEs, and various other training programs. I was a BOS member for New Horizon College of Engineering for Humanities and a B.O.E. member for RVIM and BMSIT. I was associated with Innomantra for consulting work and Kingston University as an external expert for a Research Project titled: Indian MSMEs’ responses to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, funded by HEFCE Global Challenge Research Fund, United Kingdom.

A paper titled, Beyond the Wellness Intervention-Prevention of Musculo Skeletal Problems among Garment Employees was one among the 7 selected papers for the Edge farm-HR Case Study Writing Competition, organized by CII. It was presented as a paper on 7 December 2017, Mayfair Banquets, Worli, Mumbai and later published in Case Centre. It has been selected as one of the case studies in Human Resource Management/Organisation Behaviour in the year 2018.
Received an award of £ 100 from Emerald Publishers for the case titled ‘Jute Cottage at Crossroads: Succession Dilemma’ under their Emerging Market Case Studies category; USD 100 towards publishing "Avaneetha Textiles: Empowering Women through Education" from TCJ, Emerald Publishing and £ 100 each from Emerald Publishers for the case titled ‘“Bracing up for Financial Inclusivity: The CabDost Way” and "Alpha Design Technologies: making a mark in India’s Defense exports” under their Emerging Market Case Studies category.
Received Certificate of Appreciation recognizing the efforts and expertise in peer-reviewed journals in 2021 by Lahore University of Management Sciences. SAGE Publishing, Jawaharlal Nehru New College of Engineering, Shivamogga for the 7th issue of the journal “JNNCE Journal of Engineering and Management (JJEM” released in November 2020).
Member in the panel of Reviewers for Asian Journal of Management Cases-ABDC and Scopus listed Journal; Emerald Emerging Markets Case Studies listed in Scopus indexed and International Journal of Global Business Competitiveness listed in WOS.
