About

Dr. Vishruth B. Gowda is an Associate Professor in the Department of Machine Learning at B.M.S. College of Engineering (BMSCE), Bengaluru. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and has over a decade of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration.
His research interests include Computer Vision, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on developing intelligent and data-driven solutions for real-world applications. He has published extensively in reputed SCI and Scopus-indexed journals and international conferences organized by IEEE, ACM, and Springer, with research appearing in journals such as Neural Networks, Big Data and Cognitive Computing, Revue d'Intelligence Artificielle, and the International Journal of Computers and Applications. His research contributions have led to the publication of two Indian patents and one international design patent.
He is currently guiding one Ph.D. research scholar. He actively serves as a reviewer for reputed international journals and IEEE conferences and has contributed to academic committees under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). He has also organized and coordinated numerous faculty development programs, workshops, and technical events while actively contributing to curriculum development, research promotion, and institutional quality initiatives. As a life member of leading professional bodies, he is committed to advancing interdisciplinary research, fostering innovation, mentoring students and researchers, and promoting outcome-based engineering education through academic excellence and industry collaboration.
