About

I am Prof. Varsha R, currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Machine Learning. I am passionate about teaching, research, and mentoring students to explore emerging technologies in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
I completed my Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Information Science and Engineering from Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT), Bangalore, affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in 2020. I later pursued my Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Machine Intelligence from PES University, Bangalore, which I completed in 2022.
I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in the domain of Generative Artificial Intelligence, focusing on advanced AI models and their real-world applications.
I have four years of teaching experience and have guided many student projects. One of the projects titled “Tumour Growth Monitoring Using Dynamic Imaging,” guided by me, was awarded First Place in the One-Day State-Level Project Competition – Innovate, Exhibit and Archive 2025 organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Bangalore Institute of Technology.
I have published five research papers, including three national conference publications and two international conference/journal publications, focusing on applications of AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.
In addition to research publications, I have also authored a book titled: “Foundations of Machine Learning: Concepts and Techniques.”
I actively engage in technical talks, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions for students and professionals. Some of the key topics I have delivered talks on include:

3. Machine Learning for Civil Engineering
4. Generative AI for Civil Engineering
5. Modern Deep Learning Techniques for Data-Driven Intelligent Systems

My goal as an educator is to encourage curiosity, foster innovation, and help students apply theoretical knowledge to solve real-world problems using intelligent technologies.
