About

Dr. Monika is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of AI&ML at BMS College of Engineering, where she is also heading the prestigious BSN Center of Excellence in AI and ML and social media team - Vahini at institution level . With a Ph.D. in Computer Science domain specialized in AI&ML and over 18 years of experience, she has combined her technical expertise and academic passion to nurture the next generation of engineers and innovators. Her journey is one of excellence and commitment, beginning as a Software Engineer at Birlasoft and transitioning into academia, where she has made remarkable strides. Dr. Monika has taught more than 18 courses in Computer Science and AI&ML and has guided countless projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her work is recognized not only through the numerous workshops and conferences she has organized but also through her research, which has been published in over 30+ internationally renowned journals and conferences. She holds 3 Indian patents published and 1 Australian patent in AI and ML, showcasing her innovative approach to solving complex problems. Moreover, Dr. Monika’s contributions go beyond academia—she actively collaborates with consultancies, works as a reviewer for prestigious journals, and is a sought-after speaker at technical symposiums and industry webinars. Dr. Monika is also an esteemed member of global organizations like IEEE, ACM, ISTE and IAENG, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the field of AI and ML.
