About

Dr. Rathanraj K J, a passionate teacher and researcher in the field of Quality and Reliability Engineering. He has a wide range of experience in academics and administration. He is currently the Professor and former Dean Student affairs, BMSCE and Head,Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, BMSCE. He has graduated from BEC, Bagalkot and did his Post graduation and Doctorate from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, Mumbai in Reliability Engineering. His professional career started as a lecturer in Polytechnic and then briefly worked for M/S. DathuNirman as Quality Engineer. Later on, he joined the BMSCE as a Lecturer in the year 1991. Presently, he is guiding 4 PhD research scholars and have successfully guided 1 PhD, 32 Postgraduates and over 30 under graduates project work under VTU. He has published more than 40 international journal and conference papers and also filled 10 patents out of which 6 are granted. Apart from teaching and guiding students of IEM for their project work, he has also have been actively involved in guiding students for SAE competitions like Baja, Supra and Aero for the last 10 years. Active member of Manufacturing expert committee of BCIC, IE and QCFI.
