3D Scanning Facility

3D Scanner - The 3D scanner available for consultancy services is of Industrial grade, 5 megapixel scanner from Evixscan, a Swedish company. This instrument is an extremely effective reverse engineering tool for 3D scanning, contact less measurement and fast prototyping for medium sized objects made of all types of materials. This instrument can also be used for various reverse engineering applications and 3D model validation. The precision of the machine is certified to VDI/VDE recommendations.

EVIXSCAN 3D Scanner High accuracy measurement upto : 0.0183mm High Point density : 95 pt/mm² Large scanning volume : 250mm X 170mm X 120mm The accuracy you can expect from a smartphone 3D scanner application normally ranges between 0.01 mm and 0.1 mm. 3D scanners are designed to meet the growing demands and requirements of the market for reliable, fast and accurate metrology devices used in reverse engineering, contactless quality control, 3D modeling and rapid prototyping.

Properly selected accessories allow you to scan details with complex shapes or shiny surfaces. Stable stands and rotary tables make the scanning process even more effective.

3D Software

The software together with professional 3D scanners is a complete solution for reverse engineering, quality control and rapid prototyping.

Vacuum Arc Melting Furnace facility

Vacuum Arc Melting Furnace is used for melting metals. Typically to form alloys. The principle behind the heat generation is by an electric arc between a tungsten electrode and metals placed in a depression (crucible) in the copper hearth. Repeated melting is performed to improve the homogeneity of the alloy. Melting is performed in argon atmosphere by evacuating the chamber and filled with argon gas. Evacuation of the chamber avoids oxidation of the melt (Ar being an inert gas does not react with molten metal). A standard Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding machine unit is used as a power source.

The furnace contain the following setups
  • Furnace Chamber
  • Electrode assembly
  • DC Power supply
  • Water-cooled copper Hearth
  • The high Vacuum Pumping system
Features of Vacuum Arc melting furnace:
  • VAMF functions for Melting of special alloys and casting of rod shape of different size under high vacuum and inert atmosphere.
  • VAMF s water-cooled Electrolytic grade Cu hearth with a tungsten electrode for arc melting. The electrode is easily maneuverable to access all the samples
  • The chamber is water-cooled (so that the chamber does not heat up during repeated usage and re-melting of the sample).
