IEEE PES and Sensor Council Chapter:
The Power and Energy Society is the world’s largest forum for sharing the latest technological developments in the electric power industry. This Society provides a great platform to empower the development of technology & software in all areas of Electric Power and Energy including generation, transmission, distribution and utilization to provide a reliable, resilient, safe, cost-effective and sustainable electricity supply system to the end-user.
Energy Conservation is a need of the hour. PES funds research in sustainable sources of energy. PES members also gain access to the IEEE PES Resource Center, a library with hundreds of technical reports, tutorials, conference videos, webinars, presentations and more. Moreover, PES offers networking opportunities, access to peer-reviewed technical journals and educational materials that help our members stay up-to-date with the latest advances.
The PES Society at BMSCE not only aims at encouraging young learners to pursue research in the field of Power and Energy but also helps students gain the required skills for the industry. IEEE WIE Chapter:
IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is a global network of IEEE members and volunteers dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists. The chapter focuses on inspiring young women around the world to follow and continue their academic interests in their career of choice in the field of engineering and science. The goal is to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines globally. The chapter envisions a vibrant community of IEEE women and men collectively using their diverse talents to innovate for the benefit of humanity. IEEE WIE pledges to work towards gender-diversified panels at all IEEE meetings, conferences and events, including our own.

BMSCE IEEE SSIT mainly focuses on Sustainable Development, Ethics, Human Values and Technology, Future Societal Impact of Technology Advances, Protecting the Planet & Sustainable Technology.BMSCE IEEE SSIT was initiated in the year 2022. It has successfully completed many events, podcasts and seminars on the theme sustainable technologies and development. We are a young growing chapter with an enthusiastic community aiming towards a sustainable yet advanced technological future.
