Dr. S.B. Bhanu Prashanth graduated from Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur in the year 1990, and later pursued M.Tech and Ph.D programmes at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

The domain expertise are in the domains of Instrumentation Techniques, Analog Circuit Design, Embedded Systems, Optical Fiber Communication, Human Body Area networks, and Amorphous Semiconductors. The personal interests are in literature, poetry, psychology and theatre.

With 34 years of passionate experience in teaching and research, he has received research grants of 38 Lakhs from VGST and DST, and has guided 3 research scholars for their doctoral degrees, and is currently guiding 2. He has 34 research publications in International & National Journals, and conferences to his credit, and has also co-authored a technical text book on “Linear Integrated Circuits – Concepts and Applications.”

Being professionally very active, he is a member of the ISSS, ISoI, and Past Chairman and Execom member of the IEEE Sensors council, Bangalore section chapter. He has also delivered over 50 invited talks at other premier institutes during the last 5 years.

He is a recipient of the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam memorial-2018, Outstanding Teacher award from the ISBR of Bangalore Educational Trust.
