About

Dr. Seemanthini K received her B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from P.E.S. College of Engineering, Mandya, in 2008, her M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from R.V. College of Engineering, Bengaluru, in 2014, and her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering (Computer Vision) from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, in 2020.
She has over 17 years of teaching experience and 10 years of research experience. Prior to joining B.M.S. College of Engineering, she served at Dayananda Sagar Institutions and YDIT, Bengaluru. She joined the Department of Machine Learning at B.M.S. College of Engineering in October 2021 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in August 2024.
Dr. Seemanthini K has published 50+ research papers in reputed international journals and conferences. She has successfully completed three DST-funded research projects. She has also served as the Convener of the Institution Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), AICTE, and is a Certified Innovation Ambassador Trainer under the IIC, MoE, AICTE.
She has delivered expert talks in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Probabilistic Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Patenting at premier institutions including IIT Roorkee, VIT Vellore, NMIT, DSCE, and BMSCE. She has actively contributed to academia by establishing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with reputed organizations and organizing Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), national-level project competitions, and workshops.
Dr. Seemanthini K has also served as a Technical Committee Member and Session Chair at various international and national conferences. She is currently contributing as a Board of Studies (BOS) and Board of Examiners (BOE) member for reputed institutions.
