About

I am currently working as Associate Professor in Department of CSE(Data Science), BMS College of Engineering. After graduation from RV College of Engineering, I spent around 3.5 years working in the industry. Later joined my alma mater as Assistant Professor during Jan 2007. I received my Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya Technological University for the thesis titled ‘Morphological Analysis and Part Of Speech tagging for Kannada Language’ in 2013. I have been with BMSCE since Sept 2013.

I am an IUCEE-IGIP certified Engineering Educator and a life member of Indian Society of Technical Education. I strongly believe that both effective teaching skills and mastery of the domain knowledge make a great teacher. I have more than 35 publications to my credit in International Journals and Conferences in the domain of Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval, Data Analytics and Engineering Education.

My hobbies include learning classical dance and Carnatic music and travelling. I have had the opportunity to visit US, Europe and Australia.
