About
I have been serving in the Department of Biotechnology at BMS College of Engineering since 2009. I pursued my Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, belonging to the first batch of VTU. Later, I obtained my Master of Technology in Biotechnology from SRM University, Chennai. I also worked as a Research Scholar at the Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore, focusing on Fermentation Technology.
I pursued my Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), focusing on "Modeling the Effect of Natural Ingredients and Drugs on Blood Glucose Dynamics." This study involves Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) that contribute significantly to improving health outcomes and informing clinical practices. The pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (PK-PD) of well-known antidiabetic drugs like metformin, as well as potential natural ingredients in managing Type 2 Diabetes (T2D), are modeled using mathematical modeling consisting of Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs).
As a prolific researcher and dedicated educator, I have been recognized with multiple awards for excellence in teaching, research, and community service. My contributions include numerous publications and active participation in professional societies. I also serve as an editorial board member and reviewer for several esteemed journals, further cementing my reputation as a leader in my field.
