3. Screening of various secondary metabolites of medicinal plants for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases
4. Enzymatic production of biodiesel using immobilized lipases 5.Synthesis, characterization and applications of nanoparticles form bio wastes

A caring, self-motivated individual with a passion for helping people and improving their quality of life. An organized, effective communicator with students, colleagues and management and an ability to remain calm even in stressful or unexpected circumstances. Sympathetic, caring attitude and supportive of those who may be slow learners. Confident team player, thriving on challenge and with a positive, cheerful attitude to student care, teaching and research. Adaptable, flexible and willing to learn as well as trustworthy, honest, reliable and part of a team that ensures best possible outcome-based education for all the students. Apart from academics I enjoy taking part in charity runs and completed 10 Full Marathons and 50 Half Marathons. I am a trained martial artist and hold 4th KUP in Hapkido (Korean Martial Art). I have trained and worked as a theatre artist and played several different characters in number of plays as part of a Bangalore based theatre troupe “KALAGANGOTHRI”

1. Funding:
As a Principal investigator sanctioned an amount of Rs. 20, 00,000/- for the project “Cloning, Overexpression, Purification and Biochemical and Biophysical Studies on Human Phospholipid Scramblase 1 (hPLSCR1) Upon Metal Ion Binding funded by TEQIP II during the academic year 2016-17.
2. Position and Honors:
(i) Research Fellowship (QIP), Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Madras – Chennai, Tamilnadu, 2010 to 2013 awarded by ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION (AICTE), GOVERNMENT OF INDIA -- New Delhi, India.
(ii) Qualified in the GATE Examination (225 rank) conducted by IIT Karagpur-2006.
(iii) Qualified in the NET Examination, conducted by Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Pusa, New Delhi-Dec, 2001.
(iv) Qualified in the Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lectureship in life Sciences conducted by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Pusa, New Delhi-June, 2000.
3. Honors/Awards:
(i) Awarded Elite + Gold Medal NPTEL Online Certification (Funded by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India) for successfully completing the 4 week course.
