About

Currently I am working as Associatet Professor in the department of Biotechnology since September 2005. I did my masters in Biotechnology in 2002 from Bangalore university and M.Phil in Biotechnology through distance education in 2008. My doctoral degree is from IIT Madras in 2019. The doctoral research was on Production, characterization and development of applications for Mannosylerythritol lipids (MELs). Soon after post-graduation in biotechnology, I took up the teaching profession with utmost interest. As a teacher, I believe in being dedicated, resourceful and goal-driven professional educator with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every young budding citizens of future. I encourage the students to take up the innovative and patent-driven projects and guide them successfully for completion of the same. Till now I have published 6 international journal papers in peer reviewed journals, 1 book chapter and filed 3 patents. Apart from teaching, I am serving in the institute in various other forms contributing immensely in co-curricular and extracurricular activities which ultimately contributes to the overall growth and development of the organization.
