About
I am serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at BMS College of Engineering, with over 15 years of academic experience. I am deeply committed to professional development and continuously strive to update my knowledge and skills to stay current in the field of biotechnology.
I have been awarded a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), where my research focused on mathematical modeling of glucose-insulin dynamics in healthy and Type 2 diabetic individuals. My work involved developing minimal models using differential equations to simulate disease progression, evaluate therapeutic interventions such as Metformin and Gliclazide, and study the effects of natural dietary components like jaggery, fruits, and cereals on blood glucose regulation.
I aim to maintain a strong balance between teaching and research, and my goal is to grow as an innovative educator and a contributing researcher. I believe in creating a student-centric learning environment while also engaging in interdisciplinary research that addresses scientific and societal challenges.
