About

Dr. G. Varaprasad obtained his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati in 1999, his M.Tech in CSE from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum in 2001, and his Ph.D. in CSE from Anna University, Chennai in 2004. In 2004, he joined the Protocol Engineering Technology Lab, Department of Electrical Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, as a Postdoctoral Fellow under the guidance of Dr. P. Venkataram. His Ph.D. work was supported by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. He worked as a Junior Research Fellow at GCE, Anna University under Dr. RSD. Wahidabanu. He also worked at B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bangalore, in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at various levels such as Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. Since 2022, he has been with the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, as Director (Accreditation).

Dr. Varaprasad has 67 journal papers, 50 conference papers, 29 patents/copyrights (and 2 applied), 4 textbooks, and 13 awards to his credit. He has executed 9 externally funded R&D projects and 5 consultancy projects worth 1.3 crores. He has been actively involved as an expert member in various committees such as AICTE, NBA, DRDO, ADA, UPSC, and DST.
