About

Mrs. V. Padmapriya is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Applications. Her area of interests are Web technologies, Mobile and Wireless communication and Ad Hoc Network domains. Her decade long tenure in college has her active participation in various activities in the college, with a special interest in the activities of Women in Engineering (WiE). Fueled by passion for teaching she considers herself as “forever student”. Building strong academic foundation with an urge to research & development and staying tuned to new trends and technology in the field of Computer Applications is her motto.

• Working as Student Advisor for BMSCE IEEE – WiE SB since 2011.
• Award of Excellence by BMSCE for securing >= 90% score for 12 student feedback of 4 semesters continuously for the year 2016.
• Mentored and released applications to handle Course End Survey for the Department of Computer Applications at BMSCE in 2016
• Mentored students for Internship at Enterprise Atlas Inc. Boston, USA in November 2014, to provide SAP Solutions.
• Mentored and released the Mobile application “EcoLib” to handle the issue and return of books for the library at the Department of Computer Applications at BMSCE
in 2018

Invited Talks:
1. Delivered a talk on “Pathfinders – Be your own scout” at SRS First Grade Degree College, Chitradurga. This talk was on job opportunities and future direction for BCA students of this college, 15th June, 2024.
2. Resource person for several faculty development programs covering areas of Enhancing IT skills Computer Networks, cyber security, research paper writing, etc.
3. Delivered a talk on “Art of Designing Web Pages: An Insight for the BCA students of KLE Society Degree College, Nagarabhavi, Bengaluru in the year 2020.
4. Delivered a talk at the UGC-sponsored One–Day Workshop on “Web Programming” for B.Sc and BCA students of Government Science College, Bengaluru on 15th Feb 2019.
5. Delivered a talk on “Analyzing the security issues on the Applications in Vehicular Networks” organized by the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) & Target Corporation, Bangalore on 12th June 2018.
6. Delivered a talk on “Network Visualization Tools” at the Faculty Development Programme on "Computer Networks and Security" organized by Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering and Dept. of Electronics and Engineering, BMSCE, and the Dept. of Computer Science and Information Technology, MJRPU, Bareily.
