Research Interests: Energy (Alternative green fuels), Environmental (EIA Studies, Resource Recovery, ETP/STP/Chemical Plant/Equipment Design, Air pollution dispersion modeling studies), Carbon Sequestration & Utilisation and Drought Mitigation etc..


Graduated in Chemical Engineering from Bangalore University,
Post-graduation in Industrial Pollution Control Engg. from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (formerly KREC Suratkal) Mangalore University and Ph.D. Research on “Process Optimization & Ethanol production from Hemicellulose” Bio-energy and Environment from VTU, Belgavi. Worked in Industry and Consultancy about 4 years before joining Teaching at BMSCE. After joining BMSCE as teaching faculty I have taught about 20 different courses for under-graduate chemical engineering, Postgraduate Environmental Engineering, and Bio-Chemical Engineering. I have guided about 35 UG and PG dissertation work. Participated and Organised about 35 short term courses and conferences. Published 15 research papers in National and International journals. Carried out about 15-20 lakh worth Environmental Engineering Consultancy assignment since the year 2016 –December 2018. Affiliated to professional bodies of about 7 organizations. Area of Specialisation and Interest: Energy and Environment with the design and development of sustainable industrial plants. Possess sound knowledge of modeling & simulation of air pollution dispersion model, Design & optimization of Air Pollution and Industrial/Domestic Effluent treatment Control Equipment’s/units., AWARD/ACHIEVEMENT.
