About

B.Harshitha is an Assistant Professor working in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in B M S College of Engineering, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Has three Scopus indexed journal papers in her credit. Her post-graduation was in Electronics engineering in July 2003 and her Graduation in Electronics and communication Engineering in August 1997. Her areas of interest are Data Networks, Internet of Things, Data Security and Analog electronics.
Having almost three years of Industry Experience, Harshitha has around 17 years of teaching experience and has a passion to teach.
Before joining B.M.S. college of Engineering, Harshitha worked at Juniper Networks India pvt ltd., as senior technical trainer, where she was involved in imparting training on Junos operating system to the software and hardware developers enabling them to add new features to the Juniper products.
After joining the noble teaching profession, Harshitha emphasized on being a student facilitator rather being a knowledge repository. Guided more than four post graduates and thirty two undergraduate students for academic projects under different verticals. She is keen in teaching subjects like Data communication Networks , Computer communication Networks, Analog Electronic circuits , Mixed Signal Design Basic electronics, Network Security and Cryptography, Microcontroller, operating system. Efficiently guided UG and PG students through their project work. Motivated students to come up with innovative ideas for project work as part of self-study for analog microelectronic and microcontrollers course.
She has coordinated workshops, attended more than ten workshops and faculty development programs.
She has Two Technical Memberships:
1. Life Member of the Indian Society for the Technical Education (LM 119543).
2. Member of International Association of Engineers (MIAENG: 278966)
3.Member of IEEE (membership number :94405263)
